Last Tuesday we went to Bath to celebrate the amazing efforts of Andrews Property Group who raised just under £20,000 for our work during a year of fundraising.
Over the year, 500 staff across 50 branches and head offices have participated in several fundraising activities including dedicated fundraising days on Halloween and Valentine’s Day. Louise McTighe and Daryl Hill ran the London Marathon in April and raised £2400 whilst Group CEO David Westgate completed Ride London in August which saw him cycle 100 miles from London to Surrey. Over the year these fundraising efforts have raised a total of £19,275.18.
At the event on Tuesday 10th September, David Westgate, Group CEO at Andrews Property Group, said: “We’ve been working with Carers Worldwide since 2012, when they were set up by Anil and his team with the funding and support of Andrews Charitable Trust. We are honoured to be Carers Worldwide’s first corporate partnership and pleased that everyone in the company has gotten behind this partnership with such enthusiasm. Each and every individual in the company has helped to raise money for Carers Worldwide.”
Anil Patil, founder and executive director of Carers Worldwide, added: “Our partnership with Andrews Property Group has been our first experience of a corporate partnership and it has been a wonderful year! The amount raised by the staff will make a significant difference to the lives of family carers in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with such a compassionate and caring company and we look forward to many more such fruitful partnerships in the future.”
Once more, we would like give a big thank you to everyone at Andrews Property Group for their commitment to fundraising and for the huge sum of money they have raised on our behalf.
