Carers Worldwide India
- Poverty among unpaid carers and their families dropped from 97% to 22% after our intervention
- Unpaid carers reporting anxiety or depression fell sharply from 61% to 9%
Carers Worldwide India works hand-in-hand with Carers Worldwide, sharing the same vision and mission and operating in close collaboration with the staff team in the UK. By registering Carers Worldwide India as a separate Trust in India, we are able to increase awareness of our presence in India, strengthen our team in the country, and collaborate more closely with donors, private businesses and government agencies. As part of our work, we also collaborate with other national NGOs, supporting them to identify unpaid carers and include them in their programmes and their partners’ programmes.
Our goal is ambitious: to impact the lives of 7 million unpaid family carers in India by the end of 2030.
