In our fourth webinar of the series, Chris Underhill and Anil Patil spoke with Emma Cherniavsky, CEO of UK for UNHCR; Stecy Yghemonos, Executive Director of Eurocarers; Natesh NK, Project Co-ordinator Carers Worldwide India and Bimal Lal Shrestha, CEO of our local charity partner SGCP Nepal.
Emma spoke about human rights and the importance of advocacy actions and that support for unpaid carers should be seen as a human rights issue. She also shared some key lessons from her advocacy experience. Stecy brought the carers’ perspective and talked about specific wins he has had with EuroCarers and gave his top tips for successful advocacy. Bimal shared SGCP Nepal’s successes via the Carers Association in the Kathmandu Valley. And finally, Natesh from Carers Worldwide India talked about our advocacy gains we have achieved in India and how we have secured them.
