2012 - 2022

Our Founder and Executive Director tells us why he started Carers Worldwide back in 2012 and describes the journey he and his wife Ruth have been on since then.

Our Timeline

2012
We started our work in India, across the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand, supporting 1,372 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members

2014
We began work in Nepal, in Myagdi and Baglung. Our work has supported 13,500 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members

2015
Our work has now supported 15,120 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members

2016
We expanded our work in Nepal to Kathmandu. Our work has now supported 17,620 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members

2017
We expanded our work in India to the state of Odisha. Our work has now supported 25,120 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members

2018
Our work has now supported 38,577 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members

2019
We started working in Bangladesh, in Savar District. Our work has now supported 58,731 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members

2020
Our work has now supported 73,819 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members

2021
Our work has now supported 79,169 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members

2022
We expanded our work in India to the state of Tamil Nadu. Our work has now supported 120,000 unpaid carers, those they care for and their family members
